একটা বাক্যকে কিভাবে simple compound complex Sentence Transformation together

আজকের আর্টিকেলটি অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। কারণ শিক্ষার্থীরা এই আর্টিকেলের মাধ্যমে একটা বাক্যকে একসাথে কিভাবে Simple, Complex and Compound বাক্যে রূপান্তর করতে পারবে সেটা শিখতে পারবে। আশা করবো সকল শিক্ষার্থীসহ কোচিং সেন্টার এবং প্রাইভেট শিক্ষকদের জন্য উপকারী হবে আর্টিকেলটি।

Rule 1:

Simple : Present Participle / Perfect participle + ….. + Comma +extension.

Complex : Since / As / When + Past indefinite/Past perfect +…..+ Comma + Extension

Simple : Closing the door, I went to work .

Complex : When I closed the door , he went to work.

Simple : Having heard the news , he began to weep .

Complex : When he had heard the news , he began to weep

Rule 2:

Simple sentence : Because of + possessive + gerund/noun + comma + Extension

Complex : As/Since + Subject + am/is/are/was/were + noun+ comma + Extension

Simple : Because of his being ill. he could not attend the class.

Complex : Since he was ill, He could not not attend the class.

Rule 3:

Simple sentence : In spite of + possessive + gerund/noun + comma + Extension

Complex : Though + Subject + am/is/are/was/were + noun+ comma + Extension

Simple : In spite of his being poor. he is happy.

Complex : Though he is poor, He is happy.

Rule 4:

Simple sentence : Subject + verb + object + present participle + Extension Complex : Subject + Verb + Object + that/wh word + am/is/are was/were + present participle + Extension.

Simple : I saw a girl playing .

Complex : I saw a girl who was playing.

Rule 5:

Simple sentence : Subject + present participle + Extension

Complex : Subject + wh word + be verb + present participle + Extension.

Simple : People reading the book are talent .

Complex : People who are reading the book are talent .

Rule 6:

Simple sentence : By + present participle + Extension

Complex : If + Subject + verb + rest of the sentence.

Simple : By taking physical exercise , you may be healthy .

Complex : If you take physical exercise , you may be healthy .

Rule 7:

Simple sentence : Without + present participle + Extension

Complex : If + Subject + auxiliary verb + not + verb + rest of the sentence.

Simple : Without working hard, you can not succeed in life .

Complex : If you do not work hard, you can not succeed .

Rule 8:

Simple sentence : include infinite i.e to + base from verb (purpose)

Complex : Subject + verb + object + so that instead of to + Subject + can/could + present from of verb + Extension

Simple : The girl sold her phone to buy a gift .

Complex : The girl sold her phone so that he could buy a gift.

ransformation of Sentence (Simple-Complex-Compound) Examples

1. a) complex: Although/ though he is poor, he is honest.

b) compound: He is poor but (he is) honest

c) simple: In spite of his being poor, he is honest.

2. a) complex: Since/as/when he has come here, we went with him.

b) compound: He has come here and we went with him.

c) simple: he having come here, we went with him.

3. a) complex: Since/as/because he was absent from the meeting, he could not gain the thing.

b) compound: He was absent from the meeting and he could not gain the thing.

c) simple: Because of his being absent from the meeting, he could not gain the thing.

4. a) complex: I saw a man who was working in the field.

b) compound: I saw a man and he was working in the field.

c) simple: I saw a man working in the field.

5. a) complex: If you do not work hard, you will not pass in the exam.

b) compound: Work hard or you will not pass in the exam.

c) simple: Without working hard, you will not pass in the exam.

6. a) complex: If you work hard, you will pass in the exam.

b) compound: Work hard and you will pass in the exam.

c) simple: By working hard you will pass in the exam.

7. a) complex: He worked hard so that he could prosper in life.

b) compound: He worked hard and thus he could prosper in life.

c) simple: He worked hard in order to prosper in life.

8. a) complex: He is so weak that he can not work.

b) compound: He is very weak and he can not work.

c) simple: He is too weak to work.

9. a) complex: He is so strong that he can work hard.

b) compound: He is very strong and he can work hard.

c) simple: He is strong enough to work hard.

10. Simple: Alex could not go to school due to his mother’s illness.

Complex: Alex could not go to school because his mother was ill. / Alex could not go to school since his mother was ill.

Compound: Alex’s mother was ill, so he could not go to school. / His mother was ill, and therefore Alex could not go to school.

11. Simple: By studying hard, you will pass. (One phrase, one clause, and one verb. এখানে study কে present participle বানিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে যাতে প্রথম clause টা ভেঙ্গে একটা phrase বানানো যায়, কারণ simple sentence এ একটা clause তথা একটাই verb থাকতে পারবে।)

Complex: If you study well, you will pass. (Two clauses, two verbs)

Compound: Study well and you will pass.

12. Simple: Seeing the teacher, the student stopped making noise.

Complex: As the student saw the teacher, they stopped making noise. / As (or When / Since) the student saw the teacher, the student stopped making noise.

Compound: The student saw the teacher and stopped making noise. / The student saw the teacher, and they stopped making noise.
