নিচের বাংলা অর্থ সহ দুইটা দেয়া আছে। যেটা সহজ মনে হয় সেটা থেকেই পড়তে পারবেন। তবে বাংলা অর্থসহ দেয়া থাকার কারণে সহজেই বুঝতে সুবিধা হবে শিক্ষার্থীদের। এখানে একটা ডেমো দেয়া হয়েছে শুধুমাত্র তবে এই ধরনের স্টোরিগুলো সাধারণ একই রকমের হয়ে থাকে কোন পরিবর্তন হয় না।

Story – Devotion to mother/ Bayezid Bustami.
Bayazid Bostami was a small boy. His mother was ill. One night the entire village was in deep sleep. He was studying by the side of the bed of his ailing mother when she woke up and asked for a glass of water.
বায়েজিদ বোস্তামী তখন ছোট বালক। তাঁর মা অসুস্থ ছিলেন। এক রাতে পুরো গ্রাম গভীর ঘুমে আচ্ছন্ন ছিল। তিনি অসুস্থ মায়ের শয্যাপাশে বসে পড়াশোনা করছিলেন; এমন সময় মা জেগে উঠলেন এবং এক গ্লাস পানি চাইলেন।
Bayazid immediately got up and went to fetch water. However, the house was out of water, and the pitcher was empty. Determined to fulfill his mother’s wish, he went to the nearby well to draw water. The night was dark and cold, but Bayazid didn’t hesitate. After filling the pitcher, he carefully returned home.
বায়াজিদ তৎক্ষণাৎ উঠে পানি আনতে গেলেন। কিন্তু ঘরে কোনো পানি ছিল না এবং কলসটিও ছিল খালি। মায়ের ইচ্ছা পূরণের দৃঢ় সংকল্প নিয়ে তিনি পানি সংগ্রহের জন্য নিকটবর্তী কুয়োর দিকে গেলেন। রাতটি ছিল অন্ধকার ও কনকনে ঠান্ডা, তবুও বায়াজিদ বিন্দুমাত্র দ্বিধা করলেন না। কলসটি পূর্ণ করে তিনি সাবধানে বাড়ি ফিরে এলেন।
When he reached, he found his mother had fallen asleep again. Not wanting to disturb her, he stood there holding the glass of water in his hands, patiently waiting for her to wake up. Hours passed, but Bayazid didn’t move.
সেখানে পৌঁছে সে দেখল, তার মা আবারও ঘুমিয়ে পড়েছেন। মায়ের ঘুমের ব্যাঘাত ঘটাতে না চেয়ে সে হাতে পানির গ্লাসটি নিয়ে সেখানেই দাঁড়িয়ে রইল এবং ধৈর্য ধরে তাঁর জেগে ওঠার অপেক্ষা করতে লাগল। ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা কেটে গেল, কিন্তু বায়েজিদ একচুলও নড়ল না।
At dawn, his mother woke up and was astonished to see her son still standing with the glass of water. Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized the depth of his love and respect for her. She blessed him from the core of her heart, and it is said that her blessings and his devotion played a significant role in shaping Bayazid into the great saint he eventually became.
ভোরবেলা ঘুম থেকে উঠে মা অবাক হয়ে দেখলেন যে, তাঁর ছেলে তখনও হাতে পানির গ্লাস নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। মায়ের প্রতি ছেলের গভীর ভালোবাসা ও শ্রদ্ধার বিষয়টি উপলব্ধি করে তাঁর চোখ অশ্রুসজল হয়ে উঠল। তিনি অন্তর থেকে ছেলেকে আশীর্বাদ করলেন; কথিত আছে যে, মায়ের সেই আশীর্বাদ ও ছেলের অটল ভক্তিই বায়েজিদকে পরবর্তীকালে এক মহান সাধক হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছিল।
